This is a lovely concise jewellery making tutorial where you will learn the methods used for creating your own wire wrapped pendant.
The lady who demonstrates the video uses a turquoise gem stone which is around 1.5″ in diameter and explains how she will wrap it and embody the precious stone using in an organic fashion some 22 gauge wire. Unravel the wire from it’s coil and mould and bend gently with your hands to make sure it’s straight then when you’re at about 20″ cut the wire with a pair of pliers. Next it’s time to thread the wire through the bottom hole in the gemstone and pull it all the way through leaving a couple of inches exposed.
Next is your chance to freestyle and weather it be a uniform or organic approach you must tightly wrap the stone to your preferred style leaving 8″ of wire which must be twisted with the smaller 2″ wire with a pair of round nose pliers to seal the pendant. Voila! You have your pendant, so what are you waiting for!?
