This artist demonstrates how to create from your mind an abstract painting. This one is titled ‘A Tale Behind The Mirror’ and is a collision of drips, drizzles and earthy tones but still capturing the image of a young lady and a building which is obviously open to your own interpretation. The artist uses brushes and sponging techniques to create his desired abstract painting. It’s hard to say but I would have a guess at acrylics being the medium used in this piece. Definitely worth a watch just to see how inspiration can come deep from thought
This fast paced sped up video of artist Lindsey Cormier shows quite nicely how there are no actual limits to an abstract piece. It all depends on the artist’s interpretation and when they deem it is time to put a lid on their masterpiece. I particularly like the colors used in this circular abstract painting and think that any beginner or intermediate painter would be well within there confines to take something similar to this on.
In this short video the artist demonstrates for you how an abstract landscape can be formed in acrylic paint. Using a variety of techniques and different tools, three small islands surrounded by water are formed in a somewhat autumnal color palette. By scraping, dabbing, and reworking you can quickly find yourself with an abstract picture which can have no limits. The beauty of abstract art is of course its ability to be complete personal interpretation and guidelines. Grab your kit and have a go with some of these ideas, you never know what you might be able to conjure up!
This artist has woken up in the morning to have a one hour session on his easel to draw in charcoal a female nude. The video has been sped up obviously, but it is nice to see his interpretation with the use of block shading and heavily applied lines to emphasise the models external and internal curves. It really just shows that there is always time for a spot of art!
Only a few words needed to sum up this video montage. Beautiful, professional and quite simply inspiring. A must watch especially with its calming classical backing track.
