Psychedelic Digital Art in Photoshop & Illustrator CS4
Digital image art is becoming more and more popular. Here, you will see how pictures and images can be created by using computer programs
What is Photoshop?
Photoshop is the leading digital image editing application for the Internet, print, and other new media disciplines. It is embraced by millions of graphic artists, print designers, visual communicators, and regular people like you. It’s likely that nearly every picture you’ve seen (such as posters, book covers, magazine pictures, and brochures) has either been created or edited by Photoshop. The powerful tools used to enhance and edit these pictures are also capable for use in the digital world including the infinite possibilities of the Internet.
What is Adobe Illustrator?
Adobe Illustrator is a graphic design and drawing program. This powerful program will help you create images that give your work that “artistic touch.” This class will cover some new features of Adobe Illustrator 10 as well as some advanced functions including using tools and creating vector graphics.
Why use computers in Art?
You can Undo anything ! Computers have the best artist tool of them all – the UNDO button! This takes away all the stress about creating art, since there can be no mistakes. Every time you put down the wrong color, you can just ‘undo’ it and try the next color. It also means that a lot of experimentation is possible. Artists sometimes use the computer to create different versions and experiment (just like experimenting in Science) before they decide to make the final version, which could be on the computer or even on paper or canvas. Everything is easily saved on a computer. You can even save your work on a memory stick, this helps the artist as they have less to carry around with them where as the conventional method would mean carrying wallets and folders full of your artwork.
If you have never tried it before, then give it a go and I am sure you will be hooked
