    1. It looks more like an advertisement for the products he is using. $120? Plus an expensive pen? a good sketchbook and a pencil is like $10. You don’t have to have an ability of being an artist to draw. Having fun, practice, and even cheap materials will get you as far as you need it.

    2. Hey, around 12:50, you used a strange pen that was like a grey marker, that’s exactly what I need to bring my boring ass sketches to life, I love black and white drawings so if possible, if you know what that is anyone in YouTube, let me know.

    3. First, I like your product (won’t buy it though) and I like your art, you’re skilled. But it’s pretty unnecessary to mention the compliments people give you because your body or your drawings. Noone cares and it makes you seem a little braggy. Of course I don’t know how professional you want your videos to be. This is just a small crit.Otherwise good video.

    4. im good at capturing motion with basic stick figures, but when i try to flesh out the shape of the legs arms torso etc.. it just gets completely ruined and de-motivates me to draw. Will i improve if a just keep practising like sheldonsartacademy said, or should i just give up cause im no good at drawing more advanced poses? =(

    6. The thing with expensive tools is (at least in my case): I always wait for some “good ocasion” to use them (don’t ask me what those ocasions are – beats me). So I end up not using them at all. Especially when it comes to quality paper. The best drawing you’ll make you’ll make with the tools & materials you afford to waste, believe me. At least until you get to draw decently.

    7. Haha, this is brilliant. definitely gonna be keeping tabs on you. Plus you make your video’s funny as well. The iphone idea is good, something I might have to invest in, as well as a brush pen just make stuff look nice….and maybe a beasty bag like that.

    8. I really like the bag but the price is steep if it was like 60 it would be more affordable.Even a serious artist which i am does not want to spend that much. I rather spend money on pens pencils and paper. A moleskine sketchbook is more practical. They are small great quality and fit into many bags. I need something that wont way down my purse or backpack and that i can take everywhere. $5-20 sketchbook $6 waterbrush $6-15 pencil set .the bag is cool just needs to $60 tops. **Just my opinion**

    10. Im sure you have your answer by now but i wanted to answer too. When you are trying to get noticed by professionals they are not expecting for you to have the lowest quality of things (cheapest) or the most expensive.Somewhere in the middle is always good. You should buy a portfolio and have that to show off your best drawings. and just in case they want to see your sketchbook, have one that will not fall apart because you took it everywhere. Printer paper is not meant for finished artwork.

    11. I like the design of the bag, however as you carry your bag everywhere and most of the time you need to consider different weather in which bag will be. I know probably you wont read this comment, but I think you need to cover the sides of the bag if it will be raining or snowing outside to protect paper which will be inside. πŸ™‚ Just a thought…

    12. Thats fucking stupid.Sure I understand things being nice and neat, something that a hardcover sketchbook will do well of but I dont think professional artist spend 400+ on a book even if they have the money to fork over, lol.Thats just common sense, even Matt from DrawingTutorialsOnline suggest that you dont have to explode you wallet in that manner. The content is what is most important.”pulls off your socks”,there.

Its called getting an itoya portfolio for $ 20.00 or under. Look at art schools, what you need to get in to them. you cant hand them your sketchbook to get in you need a portfolio if its not digital it has to be in something thats not going to fall a part. your mouth is smart for no reason internet thug

    15. Replying to someone by saying “its fucking stupid” in the first sentence is rude ,everything you said was rude. if you don’t see that then thats an issue. I was only giving out a short amount information to that person, and then you brought your smart mouth comment into it.

    17. hey great to see someone with the same kind of “sketchbook” πŸ˜€ I just use a 12€ A4 ring Organizer where I removed the calendar. It doesn’t have a shoulder strap or special Pencil holders but apart from that (for the cheap price) it’s great enough and I absolutely love it

    19. Don’t listen to this douchebag. You don’t need to spend a whole lot of money to own a sketchbook. All you need is a binder, copy paper or white paper and a pencil. Which you can get for cheap at a your local dollar store, Walgreens / CVS or an Office Depot. It’s really simple. He’s just bragging about everything he owns and his only purpose for this video is to sell sell sell.

    20. You pay too much money to for tools to use to draw and draw piece of shit art. I am only 15 and use nothing more than a mechanical pencil and I am better than that .All you want to do is sell the stuff for a ridiculos price.

    21. Beautiful bag. Well thought out and definitely useful. For all those negative comments, no one says you have to purchase the bag. The main point of this video is, you need to draw everyday, all day. You’ll never gain expertise in art watching youtube videos. If you would like a well designed bag for artist, Sheldon has created one. If you want something cheaper or just a normal sketch book, do it. All you need is paper and a pencil. Go draw.

    22. Quit gettin’ pissy with the poor guy. Some guys just call females by pet names like that. I do it all the time, and I’ve never had any woman call me an asshole for it. It’s meant to be flattering, not insulting. Also, this is the internet, how the fuck was he supposed to know you’re a girl? If you’re gonna be a bitch about it, then you should start adding, “P.S. I have a vagina” at the end of all your comments. You’re not gonna do that though, so STFU and have a wonderful day, babe πŸ˜‰

    24. Ink which I can smear and move around with water as you do, is that a particular kind of ink or anything will do? (like, does it have to say “watersoluble” or something like that on the label, or any kind of ink does that?)

    25. This is such a mechanical explanation of a sketchbook. These things are good to learn, but in a sketchbook you don’t want to feel confined. Sketchbooks should reflect personality and style. You should be free to draw what you want to do. Granted, to get good you need to learn the basics, but drawing stuff like this over and over is forced, and in the end your art won’t have the passion that makes art unique and inspirational.

    28. The thing is that this isn’t really a personal sketchbook to get your ideas down…the way it is described in the video makes it more of a portfolio sketchbook to show to possible employers in the industry of ANIMATION.

    29. I was really interested in the bag & wished to find out more, hoping to buy. I went to the web page, but there is little about the bag there. I then e-mailed with two specific questions, as the web page and this youtube suggest. I asked, [1] for more photos, and [2] what is the exact price for shipping to Taiwan. I got back an email saying that I could see the photo on the web page and read that page for more information and that the international shipping rates are quite reasonable. Thanks?

    30. You gotta be kidding me with this sketchbook. Carry a pen and pencil in your pocket and buy a basic $7.00 sketchbook. No one needs to spend this kind of money. I used to buy a reem of typing paper and draw like crazy. If you need to carry it in something buy a $5.00 tote bag – This is bullshit

    31. The only thing I can agree about is “that you should be drawing all the time”…an excellent point, but if you feel the need to spend 600 bucks for a drawing kit I suggest you get an Ipad or even a Droid tablet and get a sketchbook pro app. Or if you can’t afford it just buy some pencils and a cheap sketchbook—just get in there and draw. Don’t let the art supply people sap your creativity (they have a tendency to do that to aspiring artist). lol

    32. Well… some paper and a pen or pencil, an eraser and a sharpener, some people don’t even need all of this to make great art. Just practice an passion. You don’t even need an “high quality sketchbook”. It is great and all, but not necessary. And a pen like that… i don’t know what i should think of it. Why?

    33. ya know, I never really got the part where you said about people coming up to you all the time when you’re out sketching until I got the gonads enough to take one to the museum and so some there πŸ˜› was a brilliant feeling!!! ESPECIALLY when the kids would come over and sit and watch πŸ™‚

    34. Honestly, in this video I see you talk about a portfolio book instead of a sketchbook. A sketchbook should be something you draw in with 0 restrictions without caring how many good/bad drawings you have. I know the video is about selling a product but I think some of the advice you give can be counter-productive. No disrespect though.
