Evan Burse: First Time Drawing Of Miki And Brody With Mark Crilley

Cartoonist Evan Burse has the opportunity in this art tutorial to meet with the legendary Mark Crilley for something very special. Mark draws two characters of his from two different seasons together as a rare picture just for Burse (He draws Miki from ‘Miki Falls’ and Brody from ‘Brody’s Ghost).

With his usual quick style and relentless accuracy Crilley takes to the drawing with a series of loose sketch lines before continuing with a heavier line to complete the finished pencil sketch. Needless the result is fantastic and I’m sure any fan of his and his comics will be very happy too. A must watch for any Mark Crilley fan and potential anime or manga illustrator.

And just in case you were wondering here is a list of materials Mark Crilley uses in all of his manga work…So get kitted out.
pencil: PRISMACOLOR BLACK PC935
ink: MICRON PIGMA O8
flesh tone marker: PANTONE 162-T (TRIA)
watercolor: WINSOR & NEWTON, GRUMBACHER

    3. The Frye is a great museum, and just in case you msised it in the description above, IT IS FREE! Not only is the museum free, it is open more days, and longer hours than many of the other museums in Seattle. The shows at the museum often rotate, and although it has a history as a conservative museum, recently it has bucked that trend and has been displaying more modern work. Best of all they try hard to display pieces from the permanent collection as well.Between free admission and free parking, this is perhaps the best museum in Seattle.VA:F [1.9.11_1134]please wait…VA:F [1.9.11_1134](from 0 votes)

    4. Hey there. Hmm I’m not sure about shounen anime, but I do know quite a few anime seires that I liked. I recently watched Natsume Yujincho. It’s about this boy who sees ghosts. I really liked the animation and storyline. Hm..I also liked: Skip Beat, Kare Kano, Trigun, Ouran High School, and Great Teacher Onizuka (hilarious, I’m sure you’ll like this). Hope this helps. 🙂

    5. Alex, I feel like I learn something as an aritst from you with every post you write! Also, I bought your summer princess action and it is AMAZING! It’s bringing sunshine into so many of my darker photos and I love it. You are so talented! I can’t wait for your next actions :)On a random note, have you considered aligning the text on your blog to the left? The only reason I ask it that I love reading your posts so much but the centre justification of the text is a bit hard on the eyes. At my day job I consult with different groups of people on improving their websites, and making them more user friendly and easy on the eyes. Aligning text to the left is one of the first pieces of advice we always give. Anyway, totally just my two cents!
