    1. On December 24 at 8:00 in the morning a young 14 year old boy by the name of scott Johnson was found died. Doctors couldn’t come up with the cause of his death. His mother checked his email to seeif she could figure out what happened. Turns out he was still signed into myspace. She found he had gone to sleep after he read and didn’t repost a chain letter. If you don’t repost this to six videos a girl with no face will kill you tonight. Sorry don’t want to die!

    2. Even if he never painted anything…..his letters are a supreme expression of what it is to be an outsider…..i have been to his museum….it is very moving and many people were crying…..it is like a church……..i will put it this way……..no one was laughing.

    4. Hi i checked out your channel – we have similar tastes…i love Carravaggio…i live in Rome for a year and I use to walk to work across the intersection here he stabbed a man….great city to live in! When i was there they showed an exhibition of Carravaggio’s work lit from the side to show how he used the back of his brush to incise lines into his canvas…

    5. Vincent was an extrodinary and beautiful man whose haunting and lonely life defined him. Somehow, through all of this depression and darkness, he managed to create amazing works of art all full of rich life. He was able to trancend all of the twisted feelings inside him to create what can only be described as pure inspration. He embodied what it ment to be a misunderstood outsider. Vincent Van Gogh is truely one of the greatest men who ever lived. I only wish that he could have known how I feel.

    6. Without the unconditional love and financial support from his brother Theo, Vincent would have been lost to the world; and although he died frustrated and misunderstood by most, at least Vincent could afford to release his beautiful soul on canvas and thereby reining in as best he could his demons, thanks in no small measure to Theo.

    7. In my opinion, he is my favorite artist ever. He saw a world, in different eyes. His own eyes. The best part is, he could paint it down, with confident brushstrokes. It’s truly a shame that he didnt have a lot of happiness in his life. I wish he could only see how remarkable he is now.

    8. 0:51 “the painting that begins modern art”….Really, “Wheat Field with Crows” begins modern art? According to who? Bollocks I say. No single painting does that and there are many others that have a better claim to that honor.

    9. I guess you cant say he started something new and everybody followed him. But what I do know is that the camera was made so people didn’t go to a painter for portrets; they just went to a photographer. So, artists, or painters whatever you want to call them, had time to do something else, like experiment with their paintings. Sometimes they HAD to paint in a different way otherwise they wouldn’t make money. And vincent was one of them, I don’t know his heaviness of meaning to ‘begins modern art’

    10. Just by his paintings you can see what he had in his heart.. only wish he could see how his wish has now come true.. and that art shouldn’t be taken for granted.. especially his work it is very inspiring it not only captures the eyes but the hearts of many.. a message thru his paintings and brushstrokes is amazing.. seeing art even more in a different light..

    11. Wow. The guy at the very, very beginning who closes his eyes, smiles, and says, “What am I in the eyes of most people?” is totally the same actor who played Aro from Twilight. I think he was in Rise of the Lycans, too. That is definitely his voice.Huh, I guess this was before he got famous. Cool!

    12. Vincent paints his soul, a mirror into which we see our own……or not?One of his last letters to his mother he quoted from st pauls leter to the corinthians13:For now we see through a glass darkly, but then face to face; now i know in part; but then shall i know even as also i am known.

    13. “His art would reclaim what had once belonged to religion: consolation for our mortality through the relish of the gift of life. It wasn’t the art crowd he was after; what he wanted was to open the eyes and the hearts of everyone who saw his paintings. Well, he got what he wanted.”

    15. If you really want to fully get Van Gogh, you must see the painting in person. Stand still and clear your mind. Let the energy of the painting speak to you. After 15 minutes the Reaper came alive as if I were there. The wheat waving in the wind. The warm sun on my face. It was a revelation. No drugs. No Kidding.
